GROUSE - (7) Ruffed Grouse, Sooty Grouse, Dusky Grouse, Spruce Grouse, Sage Grouse, Sharptail Grouse,                                     Greater Prairie Chicken

Note: I realize that ptarmigan belong in the grouse family. But in the interest of making

the grouse family reasonably achievable and to add difficulty to pheasant/partridge,

I did a little My Dog Hunts realignment.

QUAIL- (6)  Bobwhite Quail, Scaled Quail, Gambel's Quail, Mearn's Quail, Valley Quail, Mountain Quail

(Fall turkey are only included when legally taken with the aid of your dog, or when taken in the

same day as any other upland bird taken with the aid of your dog.)

MIGRATORY UPLAND - (4) Mourning Dove, White-winged Dove, Woodcock, Band-tailed Pigeon

DECOYING UPLAND - (2) Greater Sandhill Crane, Lessor Sandhill Crane

SPECIALTY SPECIES - (7) Himalayan Snowcock, Chacalaca, Osceola Turkey, Gould's

                                             Turkey, Purple Gallinule, White-tipped Dove

(Isolated species available in only one state or that are an extreme departure

                                                          from common upland birds)

NOTE: I have no idea how many Story Band opportunities are available just in the lower 48 states. Multiplying each species by the number of states available, times two, (1st of Species and 1st State Daily Bag Limit) I'm sure would number into the mid-hundreds. I imagine that most hunters will attempt one or more of the following:

* "ALL STATE" - One of each species in home state

* Daily bag limit of each species in home state

* One of the same species in as many states as possible

* State daily bag limit of same species in as many states as possible

* "ALL AMERICAN" - One of everything????
